Course Overview
Students will learn Scratch, a beginner-friendly block programming language designed to make coding accessible and fun. They’ll create interactive stories, games, and animations while building a strong foundation in programming concepts like loops, conditionals, and events.
This course is taught by Ryan Schlomer (239-203-7797), who has over 20 years in the software development industry.
We learn at various paces each session. If you are new or have some experience, I try to make it work for your child.
Prerequisites
No prior programming experience is necessary, but basic computer or tablet skills are helpful, and enthusiasm for learning is a must. Children ages 8 – 14 can attend.
Almost any device (laptop or tablet) will work. Students are required to bring a laptop or tablet to class each week. If your child would like to join the class but they need a tablet to use, I might have an extra that can be shared in the class.

Some of them are simple, and others are complex. Even the complex ones can be made with simpler means than what I did.
