Online Beginner Scratch Coding Class
Ages 8+ | Four-Week Live Online Class | No Experience Required
Dates: Wednesdays—October 7, 14, 21, and 28
Time: 12:30–1:30 p.m. Eastern Time
Location: Live online through Zoom
Students will learn the basics of coding while creating their own Catch the Star game in Scratch! Through live instruction and guided practice, they will program character movement, keep score, send messages, create clones, and add a timer and high score.
The class includes four live online lessons, printable step-by-step workbooks, time to build, and opportunities to ask questions.
Students need a desktop or laptop computer, internet access, Scratch, and the free Zoom app. A free Scratch account is recommended so projects can be saved and shared with the instructor.
The Zoom link will be emailed to registered families the day before the first class.
