The Homeschool Extras STEM program offers hands-on learning experiences designed to inspire creativity and critical thinking for homeschool students in grades 3–8 (teens are welcome too). In our STEM classes, students use LEGO® Technic along with Powered Up hubs and motors to explore mechanical concepts and put them into action through building.

For Session 1 on Thursdays, STEM: Machines returns to one of our favorite projects—designing and building LEGO Technic Pinball Machines! Each student will build their own working pinball table with functional flippers, ramps, targets, obstacles, and whatever else they can imagine. No experience is necessary. Ryan will guide students step by step throughout the 8-week session, helping each child design, build, test, and improve a unique machine they can be proud of.
